"Isabella Swan, I promise to love you every moment forever." That's Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) telling said Swan (Kristen Stewart) what most people anywhere would like to hear — and believe — at least once in their lifetime. Perhaps that's why the Twilight Saga novels and movies have been so incredibly popular. The new 1m30s trailer of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which opens on June 30, has already been viewed nearly one million times on YouTube ever since its release a few hours. The teaser trailer, released several hours earlier, has been viewed nearly 3.5 million times.

I'm not so sure that's all teen-girl power. In addition to female adults, there are lots of closeted male romantics out there. They wouldn't be caught dead watching on their own any of the The Twilight Saga movies on the big screen, but they could ensure that a female friend or girlfriend or wife or daughter or aunt invite them to a screening. Else, if the fates work against that heart-popping opportunity, they'll surreptitiously rent the DVD via some online service or other. Or they'll buy one by mail.

The synopsis below is from the The Twilight Saga: Eclipse YouTube page:

"In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between Edward and Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life."

I hope that's not gonna be what to wear at prom night.

David Slade directed The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which also features Taylor Lautner, Academy Award nominee Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, Academy Award nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and Jackson Rathbone.

Robert Pattinson can also be seen beginning Friday in the romantic drama Remember Me, which pairs him up with Emilie de Ravin.

Kristen Stewart is next, playing Joan Jett in The Runaways, co-starring Dakota Fanning. The biopic opens April 9.

    Hey Priya
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you before now – I deleted my ALTFG folder by accident and had to hunt through a mile of Twilight blogs to find your name again! If you would still like to be friends I would be honoured. Must warn you though – I am a woman in my 40's with three adult children aged between 20 – 23 who is still a die hard idealistic romantic at heart! Probably why the Twilight Saga appeals to me so much. I cannot understand Bella having room in her heart to love anyone but Edward!

I agree with the above comments. Here I am a greatgrandmother and can't wait for another of robert pattinsons movies. Went to see remember me 10 or 12 times I lost count. went to new moon 7 or 8 times. now I have twilight and new moon dvd and can watch them all the time. Can't wait for remember me dvd to come out on the 22,I think. then eclipes to come to the theater. Will have a little bit of trouble seeing it as many times though. It is summer and I am a missionary and a bible camp and am in the kitchen feeding kids. probably will be able to get away on saturday afternoons, even though I am very tired by that time. Als have been trying to get tickets to the Oprah show on the 13th interview with robert and the twilight stars. Just found out the date last week and been trying every day, but the window is closed. I will be in chicago area on the week end before to watch my grand children. But can stay for the 13th interview's the only thing is I think physically I won't be able to camp out for days ahead of time.

I have never seen a series of movies or read a series of books that have impacted me so much. They are just spectacular and Stephenie Meyers is an absolute genius. Summit was outrageously smart to buy this franchise. Great going and I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the movies, owning them on DVD, and watching them over and over again.
