The Usual Suspects (1995) directed by Bryan Singer, starring Gabriel Byrne, Kevin Spacey, Benicio del Toro, Chaz Palminteri, Pete Postlewaithe, Stephen BaldwinAfter a long hiatus, I’ve posted another Best of the Best list.

The latest one covers 1995, with The Usual Suspects as my #1 film of that year.

Again, those lists are simply one person’s opinion at one point in time, and will be revised as time goes by.

I still rate To Die For as a personal best for Nicole Kidman. Her gallery of pre superstar characters, even in Batman Forever, seem to have something that her films as of late lack. There is a freshness in her performance that isn’t there today but I think maybe that may be from over exposure. Illeana Douglas has some of the very best eyes in the cinema and a very under valued dramatic actress.
