Mariah Carey, Gabourey Sidibe, Mo’Nique: SAG Awards Photos

Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'Nique

Gabourey Sidibe and Mo'Nique introduce Lee Daniels' Precious, the breakout Sundance Film Festival hit that earned Sidibe a best actress SAG Award nomination and Mo'Nique a SAG Award win. In the film, Mo'Nique plays the abusive mother of Sidibe's illiterate, pregnant teenager. Mo'Nique is now the favorite to win the best supporting actress Academy Award — even before the nominations have been announced. (They'll come out on Feb. 2.)

Below, another Precious cast member, Mariah Carey (with Nick Cannon), arrives at the SAG Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on Jan. 23. Carey, along with Mo'Nique, Sidibe, and several others, was in the running for SAG's best ensemble award. The Precious cast lost to the actors in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.
