Mo'Nique was the expected winner for her work in Lee Daniels' Precious, in which she plays Gabourey Sidibe's abusive mother. Robin Williams won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1998 for his work as Matt Damon's psychiatrist in Gus Van Sant's Good Will Hunting.
