Sam Taylor-Wood and Aaron Johnson, who met while filming Nowhere Boy, attend the BAFTA Soho House Grey Goose after party at the Grosvenor House Hotel on February 21 in London. Nowhere Boy, a chronicle of the early life of John Lennon (played by Johnson), was nominated for four BAFTAs: Outstanding British Film, Best Supporting Actress (Anne-Marie Duff and Kristin Scott Thomas), and Best Debut by British Filmmaker, though it failed to win anything. Nowhere Boy was also nominated for four London Film Critics Awards, including Breakthrough British Filmmaker and British Director of the Year. Aaron Johnson, for his part, has completed two projects: Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass and Hideo Nakata’s Chat Room.

Cute couple!
Aaron Johnson should have been nominated for best actor. Nowhere Boy was much better than the movies that won.
