Sure, they are important, but for me, it's the story ant the acting that should stand out the most. And they did in "I killed my mother". I went to see this movie without no presuppositions - essentially I knew nothing about it beforehand, and it turns out it's often best way to just enjoy the movie without paying too much attention to the details. On top of that, in no way the organization of the shots distract me in any way, I think it was adequate to convey the main ideas. I suggest people check it out for themselves. Ok, it's not a masterpiece, I agree, but it's a good, well made touching film. Anne Dorval is magnifique!
