Havana Marking&#8217;s Afghan Star, the United Kingdom&#8217;s submission for the 2010 Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award, will be shown on HBO beginning March 18 at 9 p.m. The film chronicles the obstacles faced by ordinary Afghanis who want to &#8212; you guessed it &#8212; become the top dog in the local version of American Idol.
