The world waits with baited breath. Who will take home The Award? Will it be Sandra Bullock? Will it be Robert Pattinson?
Wait a second, Robert Pattinson isn’t up for any Oscars.
Hey, no one said he was. Pattinson, along with Bullock, Megan Fox, Will Ferrell, Michael Bay, John Travolta, Hugh Hefner, Billy Ray Cyrus, Eddie Murphy, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sienna Miller, Candice Bergen, Brad Silberling, Walt Becker, Oscar co-host Steve Martin, all three Jonas Brothers, the Pattinson-Kristen Stewart-Taylor Lautner interspecies triangle, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, G.I. Vanity Fair strikes again. No, no photo shoots this time. Just the list of Hollywood’s Top 40 moneymakers in 2009, based on estimates that take into consideration up-front fees, box-office/DVD percentages and other revenue sources. White guys, most of them directors and/or producers, took the top ten slots:
Michael Bay ($125m, mostly from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Steven Spielberg ($85m, mostly thanks to "Universal theme-park royalties and consulting fees"), Roland Emmerich ($70m, 2012), James Cameron ($50m, Avatar), Todd Phillips ($44m, mostly from The Hangover), [...]
