Nicol Williamson Dies: Stage Hamlet; Screen Merlin, Sherlock Holmes
Stage and screen actor Nicol Williamson, who played Hamlet onstage and Merlin on screen, died of esophageal cancer on December 16 in Amsterdam, where he had been living since 1970.
