Britain’s Channel 4 has recreated the set of Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 horror film The Shining in order to promote a season of 10 Kubrick films to be broadcast on the More 4 channel beginning July 15.

The promo, which consists of a long tracking shot and includes look-alikes of the film’s crew and cast members Shelley Duvall and Danny Lloyd (the boy who plays Duvall and Jack Nicholson’s son), was filmed with a 25mm Cooke lens — reportedly a favorite of Kubrick’s — over the course of two days at London’s Bray Studios.

In addition to the Kubrick films, More 4 will also show Jon Ronson’s documentary Citizen Kubrick.

Ha! Nice to see the bear-suited guy (dog suit? what the hell is that, anyway?) in the mix. Pretty cool little recreation, there. Obviously took a lot of effort.
