Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene Twilight Eclipse. In David Slade's upcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene (photo) play Jasper Hale and Alice Cullen, lovers and members of the vampire Cullen Clan (or Coven). The other Cullens are Edward (Robert Pattinson), Dr. Carlisle (Peter Facinelli), Esme (Elizabeth Reaser), Emmett (Kellan Lutz), and Rosalie Hale (Nikki Reed).
The clairvoyant Alice, who has befriended the human Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), can see the future after someone has made a decision. That's why she has trouble “seeing” either the deadly Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) or the even deadlier Volturi (Dakota Fanning, Daniel Cudmore, Charlie Bewley, Cameron Bright). Jasper, a former Confederate soldier, can feel and influence people's moods and emotions.
Jackson Rathbone: another major 2010 release
This summer, Jackson Rathbone will be seen in M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, one of the most anticipated movies of the season. In addition to Rathbone, The Last Airbender features Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz, Dev Patel, and Shaun Toub.
Ashley Greene, along with Kellan Lutz, made headlines when contract negotiations with Summit Entertainment took a bumpy turn a few weeks ago. Reasons for the contention: money, obviously, but also the fact that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn could – or rather, will – be turned into two movies.
Among Ashley Greene's other upcoming film roles are those in A Warrior's Heart, opposite Lutz; The Apparition, with Tom Felton; and Butter, with Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Garner, Olivia Wilde, and Alicia Silverstone.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens in the United States and about a dozen other countries on June 30. The world premiere will be held at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 24. Melissa Rosenberg adapted Stephenie Meyer's bestselling novel.
In addition to Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene, and the other aforementioned Eclipse cast members, the latest Twilight movie also features Taylor Lautner (as the werewolf Jacob Black), Xavier Samuel (as the newborn vampire Riley), Anna Kendrick, Michael Welch, Booboo Stewart, Billy Burke, Chaske Spencer, Julia Jones, Alex Meraz, Christian Serratos, Kiowa Gordon, Sarah Clarke, and Jodelle Ferland.

Xavier Samuel and Jodelle Ferland, playing the newborn vampires Riley and Bree, talk briefly in this latest The Twilight Saga: Eclipse clip. The newborn, powerful, and bloodthirsty Riley has a small but important role in Stephenie Meyer's novel. He is created by Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard), a vindictive vampire who wants Bella (Kristen Stewart) dead. Riley is supposed to distract Edward (Robert Pattinson) while Victoria goes after the helpless Bella.
In David Slade's Eclipse, Riley will clearly have his role expanded: he's seen becoming a vampire in the film's trailer; leading the newborn, zombie-looking vampire army; twisting poor Edward's neck (in a photo), and now chatting with fellow newborn Bree.
Bree is another newborn that makes a very brief appearance in Meyer's novel, but seems to play a larger role in Melissa Rosenberg's Eclipse screenplay. Bree is also the subject of Meyer's recently published novella, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.
