With Johnny Depp, Penélope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush, Sam Claflin, Ian McShane, and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Rob Marshall's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides passed the $100 million milestone at the North American box office on Tuesday, May 24, after adding $6.05 million according to figures found at Box Office Mojo.

After five days out, On Strangers Tides' domestic total stands at $104.34 million. For comparison's sake: in 2007, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End passed the $100 million milestone on its third day out (not including its Thursday evening revenues); the previous year, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest had collected $100.27 million on its second day out.

On Strangers Tides' foreign total: $286.5 million, or close to 74 percent of the film's worldwide cume.

At no. 2 on an unusually slow Tuesday – most movies were down – Bridesmaids added $2.33 million (down 14 percent). The Paul Feig-directed comedy features Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy, Jon Hamm, Rose Byrne, and Jill Clayburgh.

At no. 3, Kenneth Branagh's Thor, starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, and Tom Hiddleston, drew $1.28 million.

At no. 4, Fast Five, with Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Jordana Brewster, pulled in $850k. Thus, Fast Five fell below the $1m-per-day mark on its 26th day out.

The action-thriller was followed by Scott Charles Stewart's Priest, which brought in $504,000 at no. 5. The horror/thriller stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, and Lily Collins.

Up one spot at no. 6, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson's Something Borrowed scored $421,000.

Next in line were, Carlos Saldanha's Rio, featuring the voices of Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway, with $341k (down one spot) at no. 7, and Paula Patton and Angela Bassett's Jumping the Broom with $275,000 at no. 8.

Rounding out the top twelve were Reese Witherspoon-Robert Pattinson-Christoph Waltz's Water for Elephants with $248,000, Woody Allen-Owen Wilson's Midnight in Paris with $80,000, AnnaSophia Robb's Soul Surfer with $77,000, Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family with $72,000.

Among the top-twelve movies, Midnight in Paris had by far the highest per-theater average, $13,471. Soul Surfer had the lowest, $79.

Also among the top twelve, Rio posted the highest Monday-to-Tuesday drop-off rate, down 36 percent. Something Borrowed and Madea's Big Happy Family were the only two movies to post attendance increases, up 1 and up 4 percent, respectively.
