Sally Menke Dies: Quentin Tarantino Editor

  Sally Menke, film editor on Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, both Kill Bill parts, Jackie Brown, and Inglourious Basterds, was found dead early Tuesday (Sept. 28) morning by searchers in the Hollywood Hills' Beachwood Canyon, according to a Los Angeles Times report. Menke was 56 years old. She and a friend had gone hiking with Menke's Labrador retriever on Monday, the hottest day ever recorded in the Los Angeles area. The friend later returned, but Menke continued on with her dog. No cause of death has been reported as yet, but the heat may have been a factor. Menke's body was found at the bottom of a ravine.
