Horror movie The Night Stalker Darren McGavinHorror TV movie ‘The Night Stalker’ with Darren McGavin.

Which ‘The Night Stalker’? Which ‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’?

[1] It’s unclear which The Night Stalker the Chicago Film Critics are referring to in their Top 100 Horror Movies, but it’s likely the 1972 made-for-TV horror movie, in which a journalist investigates a series of murders committed by a vampire. An unrelated 1987 big-screen suspense thriller called The Night Stalker was directed by Max Kleven, and featured Charles Napier and Joan Chen.

Also unclear is the Chicago Film Critics’ choice of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. I’m assuming it’s Dan Curtis’ 1974 made-for-TV horror movie, as it’s found three slots below Curtis’ Trilogy of Terror. Another possibility is Francis Ford Coppola’s costlier and better-known 1992 film, which shares the same original title though it’s chiefly known as just Dracula; Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, and Keanu Reeves star.

The image of Sigourney Weaver and the Alien creature letting go of their horror grudge was found on Twitter.

The Tingler, with Vincent Price, is one of my favorites. There are only a few movies on this list that I haven’t seen. But I definitely think this one should be added.

Love the list, in general ….. but, please switch to the ‘Coppola’ “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”. I’ve not yet seen the 1974, made for TV version, but the 1992 film is nearly unbeatable.

Decades later, still get heebie-geebies thinking about “Agent for H.A.R.M.” (1966) … Scariest movie EVER!!!

The movie “Dead silence”(2006) belongs somewhere on the list. So does “IT follows”.. these movies are not perfect but, they are both freaking awesome, and scary as hell..
